1. My expectations of reading the title is a way of a single man in the woods with a gun hunting prey
2. This short story written by James Kelman is written 3rd person perspective.Through the whole story it is used by the narrator who is talking to us about Peter as it is a story he has created. On page 187 it gives us a clear description of him and what we should expect from him
3. The main character is a lonely alcoholic. On page 187 he returns home shortly after closing time with a carry out. This tells us that he has to keep on drinking when he gets home even after a night in the pub
4. The setting is Peter’s cold and bleak house
5. We learn that he’s single, that he likes a drink and doesn’t clean up after himself.
6. We learn about him because the author takes us inside his head
1. My expectations of the title are someone how is a safari hunter or something like that
2. The narrative perspective of third person was used because it shows you an insight of this live and it makes the short story more funny and you can here his troughs
3. Peter is a alcoholic that is very lonely and lazy man

4. On page 187 it is set in peters living room but you don’t hear much about his living room which suggesting a plain room that has nothing it in it
5. half way down the page he asks himself ‘what if ’what if he had went with the red haired girl.
This tells us that he has nothing better to do with his time
6. We can learn about peter because the writer goes inside peters head but we can also step back and watch
